A family born from loss, built on hope
Global Orphanage Development Organization (GODO) is a community-based non-governmental organization headquartered in Tengeru, Akeri Ward, Arumeru District, Arusha, Tanzania. We are registered under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act No. 24 of 2002 and operate throughout Arusha City, working directly with children, families, schools, clinics and fellow organizations.
We exist because too many children in our communities grow up without the safety of a home, the dignity of a classroom, or a trusted adult to guide them. GODO was created to change that story — one child, one family, one future at a time. We work with vulnerable, marginalized, voiceless, underprivileged and disadvantaged children, including girls and young women who face the greatest barriers to opportunity.

A community where every child — regardless of circumstance — grows up as a responsible, self-reliant member of society, participating fully in economic and social activities while enjoying their full rights, in happiness and dignity.
Mission
To enhance the lives of orphans and street children by providing safe accommodation and self-dependence education, both within our center and out in the wider community, so that no child is left to face the world alone.
